Delicious and Healthy Air Fryer Whole Chicken
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken (3-4 lbs)
1 lemon, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
Rinse the chicken inside and out and pat dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, rosemary, oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get it under the skin and inside the cavity.
Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the sliced lemon and onion.
Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, flip the chicken over and continue cooking for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.
Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before carving and serving.
Side note:
This will pair well with grilled asparagus or steamed green beans. Be sure to lightly brush veggies with olive oil then season with a touch of sea salt and pepper.
