Why is this recipe healthy?
This recipe is gut-healthy because sea bass is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, which can help reduce inflammation in the gut. The spices used in the recipe, such as garlic powder and oregano, also have anti-inflammatory properties that can promote gut health. And because the sea bass is cooked in an air fryer with minimal added fat, it's a healthier option than deep-fried fish. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 fresh sea bass fillets
1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the sea bass fillets dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried oregano.
Rub the spice mixture all over the sea bass fillets, making sure to coat both sides.
Place the sea bass fillets in the air fryer basket.
Air fry the sea bass for 8-10 minutes or until it is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the sea bass from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Side note:
You can make this on the grill if you don't have an air fryer. Set the grill to about 375-400 degrees and either put the fish on a pre-soaked cedar plank or a piece of foil. It should take about 10-15 minutes or until it's cooked through and flakes easily.
